You guyyyyyyyyyys!!! It’s time to be excited with me because I finally sewed up some of the strike offs for Round 1! (Is “strike offs” one word or two? Strikeoffs? Maybe it’s hyphenated… strike-offs? Whatever…)
As you can see, the listings are live on the website now. The pre-order is open until January 24th, so get your orders in!!
I’ve been on Pinterest hunting for simple and quick patterns to use on the strike offs. I’ve been needing a set of pattern weights, and I could also use some new covers for my decorative couch pillows. I will probably make an apron with one of the adult panels. I want to do a pair of capri leggings, but it’s winter so I won’t get much wear out of them for a few more months. Maybe I’ll do it anyway…
I will always be a busybody adding to my to-do list, but I got at least my first strike off projects done. Check out this adorable Raglan t-shirt I made for My Mini-Me:I used a child size GameStation panel and some of the GameStation pattern fabric.
I also made a dolman-style top for myself and a basic t-shirt for Little Man. You can check those out in the gallery below. I’m still working on a raglan shirt for my husband, and then we’ll see what scraps I have left to work with. (That means there will probably be a part 2 to this post… stay tuned.)
I’m extra excited to see what you guys come up with using the round one Fabrics. Post all your fabulous creations in the Facebook group. Decisions, decisions…

I am so excited, you guys! Blerdy Momma Boutique is almost ready to launch! I’m in the last stages of setting up the business through all the legal requirements for Maryland, and then we can get on to the fun! I can’t wait to publish the sneak preview of Round 1 fabrics. I may just have to do a celebratory giveaway.
I am proud to share that I was able to find a supplier within the US to make my designs a reality to share with you all. This means paying a little bit more, but for me, it’s worth it. I really wanted to be able to offer you an American-made product. (Bonus: This also means I should be able to offer pretty quick turn-around times.)
Blerdy Momma Boutique is going to start out offering a great quality 12oz cotton spandex knit fabric base for all designs. If I see people are interested in other fabric options, I will start to offer those as well, so don’t be afraid to tell me what you want!
BMB will also be offering panels in adult and child sizes along with my patterns. I can’t wait to see what projects you all come up with for them. Don”t forget to join the Facebook group and post your pictures.
Ok, ok. I promise I’m done with all the shameless plugs. At this point, I’m really just trying to get in the habit of posting regularly. You can expect progress pics for my ongoing projects, exciting recaps of my convention adventures, and the occasional tutorial. I cannot promise that I won’t sometimes veer wildly off-topic. I get easily distracted by shiny things…
Anyways, everybody cross your fingers that my business license application gets approved quickly. The faster I get that, the faster I can launch. In the meantime, I need to figure out my resolutions for the new year. It looks like 2018 could be the start of a whole new adventure!
